Excellent headphones
For all of you who think these headphones have weak bass... the thing is you need to make sure the ear canal doesn't "breathe" i.e. you need to seal it tightly with the silicon sleeve. So for that you need to experiment a little according to your ear canal size. For me the best result gave the largest L sleeves. This way the ear canal actually becomes a sealed sound box so the sound actually has no way out so it resonates inside creating absolutely amazing low frequency response!!! It literally creates a sub-woofer inside! :)
The only negative side is that you need some time for the ear canals adjust to foreign object inside :) But i think that is the same with all in-ear headphones.
So there you go, weak bass issue solved! :)
AKG engineered these headphones perfectly, thank you AKG for this excellent product!

Overpriced and poor comfort
Feels cheap and plasticlike eventhough visual design is nice. Too big for the ear-canals - changing the silicone-thingies doesn't matter and they're not comfortable when used for longer periods of time. Wire is too short to have the player in your pocket.
Sound Quality is good as expected.
My right earbud broke eventhough I used the storagecasing that accompanied the earbuds (this you would expect from cheap Apple earbuds, not AKG). Swapping a L-minijack to a straight one was a bad design decision.

Lots of details for the price!
I like the sound of this earphones! Surprisingly lot of details, and balanced sound for the price. I hate headphones with over emphasized bass range. I'm a musician, I listened with this earphones some records where I play on bass, and I was there in the studio. when mixed. I can say, when I listen music with this earphones, the amount of bass is aprox. the same as recorded. The bass could be tighter, but clear enough. The cable could be longer. The smallest silicone sleeves are very comfortable for me.Would nice if this earphones, has a version with mic to to use with Iphone.

Good performance
Pros:
-In-Line volume control.
-Gold plated contacts.
-3 size's silicone sleeves.
-Great high and mid frequency response.
-Carrying case.
-Weight.
Cons:
-Low frecuency response (Lack of bass).
-Takes time to get used to.
-Only 16 ohms of impedance.
-Cable could be a little bit longer.
Overall:
If you're looking for a set of earbuds i highly recommend you to get these, they may be hard to get used too but once you do the clarity of the highs and mids will impress you, if you're one of the people who likes more bass, these are not for you, instead go for this models if youre looking for more bass:
K 311.
K 315.
K 319 (Highly recommended).

my little review
K 340 are my second AKG in-ear headphones. The sound is great, it doesn't make too much pressure in ears and the design is great.
But it has few things that I don't like by this headphones. The ear pads aren't comfort to me like by K324P. The jack isn't in L profil.
