Excellent in-ear canals for your smartphone
I got these because I already know and trust the AKG brand and because I've heard that my HTC Desire HD could be made into an excellent audio player with a set of high quality headphones. I also wanted headphones with a mic function and, even though HTC is not specifically mentioned on the package, these headphones work perfectly with it. The mic button works as a pause button when listening to music.
First of all, these headphones showed me how superior HTC is as an audio player compared to my iPod Nano. I never actually thought of the iPod as a particularly poor audio player until I stuck these headphones into it. As opposed to it, they compliment the HTC's standard sound settings perfectly - no need to play around with different EQ presets at all!
While it is not quite the high end sound as advertised by AKG, it certainly is a very high sound quality for mobile devices. Not being a great fan of exaggerated basses, I find their balance absolutely perfect for my taste. I've tested them on a wide range of different music genres, from orchestral and acoustic, over electronic and jazz down to, erm, David Bowie, and these headphones get the best out of all of them. It's a pure joy to rediscover your favourite pieces of music with this clarity of sound!
The design is a bit disappointing to me, however, as they don't quite look or feel like 100-euro-headphones. The cable is so stiff that it keeps the bends from being wound (I know this is avoidable with a better choice of material). The buds have a cheap plastic feel to them. You will find many complaints on the web about the fit but these are in-ear canals after all, the fit is a very tricky matter here by default. They come with rubber appendages in three different sizes and I found the smallest ones to fit me perfectly. They are already enough to shut you off from most of the outer noise, which is really great for listening to music in public transport and also alleviates the backdraws of HTC's notoriously low top volume level.
All in all I find this a great investment - I'm looking forward to many future hours of listening to my music with these headphones! They compliment my existing multimedia gear perfectly. The only complaint I do have is that, even with aesthetic impressions put aside, they don't look very robust.

Sound is splendid
Sound quality is on high level, bass is accurate and highs are extremly detiled, so sound is really fantastic. But there is one problem, cable is very poor qality, so in my case i have replace them every 3 months.

Overall Good Headphones
These are good headphones but I would certainly recommend you try before you buy as I have found headphones to be very personal! I Got these after owning Bose and was slightly disappointed. But I would put that down to me liking lots of bass.
These headphones are good as they offer well balanced sound and very well constructed too. When you hold them they feel solid and look very prestige like they would cost much more.
However my gripes would be they don't always stay in your ears when you are walking around and when they cable is touched it makes a loud noise in the earpiece. The case is a nice touch.
I really wanted to like these but they didn't quite just do it for me - I think i'm going back to the ones I know and love.
For a first go at in ear canals AKG have done a pretty good job!
But you may prefer more balanced sound than I do! I do believe though these are worth a try! Big bass fans though i would recommend to look elsewhere :)

DESIGN
When holding these headphones for the first time you'll notice that the buds are a little bigger then the average in-ear products. The black/silver color theme matches the iPhone and Blackberry designs perfectly and the combination of size and styling gives the look and feel of something special.
BUILD
In terms of build quality the K370 is not that special really; the wiring is pretty standard and the buds are all plastic. The silver accents tend to wear a little over time so metallic finish would have been nicer, but would have increased the weight significantly. The plugs are slightly bend inwards, meant for creating a better in-ear fit. Unfortunately getting a good fit is a little harder than with most in-ears due to the long cable protectors. Also the built-in mic is a little too big for my liking.
SOUND
The sound quality of these headphones is really good, like you would expect from buds that cost around $100,-. The soundstage is pretty wide and although they are not very bassy, the lows are controlled and can go very deep. The mids are rich and the highs are very crisp. On higher volumes the crispiness tends to get a little sharp, but the overall sonic performance is very well-balanced and realistic. The mic does a good job as well, speech is clear in every angle and the button does a great job in both answering calls and skipping tracks.
ACCESSORIES
Another big plus of the AKG's is the included acessorypack. Besides a carrying case and two sets of replacement rubbers, AKG included a 2,5mm adapter and a flight plug which both come in very handy for some users.
VERDICT
The AKG K370 are really good performers if it comes to reproducing quality audio from your mobile device. Although it has a couple minor design flaws, the audio performance is really good and far better than that of competing products in this price range.
