Amazing headphone!
Prior to the K450 I had spent lots of money (Shure, Sony) and within one year found myself shopping for headphones once again. AKG lives up to it's name! I can say that the K450 does cancel noisy almost 100%! The only flaw I think this headset has is regarding the detachable cable which is my opinion should be angled (at the tips) to prevent it from damaging. I've had mine for a little over a year and just today I contacted AKG (Frank great guy) and they are shipping a replacement cable @ no cost! Still love it 100% and you can't beat AKG customer services! Rock on!

Not bad sound but little comfort
I'm a big fan of Hip-Hop,Rap and Techno. Listening to Hip-Hop or Rap is absolutely okay with these headphones. The bass and sound is soft and clear. But it to goes to a pretty bad and annoying quality when you start to listen to Techno. The design is cool but I think they would look better in black. But my only problem with these is the wear comfort. After a time it gets pretty hot on your eyes because that headphones are pressed on your ears. It doesn't hurt but it's not a great feeling which you have when you wear big headphones. I think that the price is okay and not to much. All in all are that headphones the best product from the AKG mini-serie so far (i had the k430 before and tried also the other ones in shops).

Portable luxury
After becoming tired of lugging around my 272's with my iPod I decided to pick up a pair of these to make traveling easier. I could not have made a better decision! These hard-hitting headphones were just the thing I was looking for. With great mids and punchy bass these headphones make any upbeat song into a fabulous listening experience. My iPod touch has more than enough power to drive them too. These cans turned my iPod from a time wasting device on the bus to something I'll use in my free time. These cans easily give the Bose portables as well as c-jays a run for their money. I would reccomend these to any fans of pop,hip-hop, and rock music. Also, these headphones are ruggedly built. I can't see them breaking anytime soon. The folding design is also really useful making them extremely portable. The case is a nice bonus as well!

A great portable headphone set
Before I go in depth about the set, here's a quick summary - the K450 headphones are quite possibly the best choice for a portable headphone set. They're virtually flawless.
I'm no audiophile, but I daresay the sound quality on these headphones is very good, especially considering their small size. If your hearing is like most people's, you will have absolutely no reason to complain about the sound on these headphones ;) They not only sound great, but they're also very appealing visually. They're fairly simple, but not overly minimalistic either (which I think is an advantage).
One of the greatest strengths of the K450 is its detachable cable. Every single headphone set I have ever used had the same flaw - the cable always wore out, which rendered the entire unit useless. With the K450, once the cable wears out, you can just throw the cable away and attach a new one.
The only problem I had with the K450 is rather minor and probably doesn't even apply to most people. Namely, my hair is pretty bushy and it took me a few days to learn how to properly adjust the headphones to my head. Since then, I have had no problems fitting them on me :)
One last thing worth noting is that the K450 comes with a special case for it, in which you can also fit your music player. It's quite nifty for longer travels or outings, but for everyday usage, the headphones are more portable without the case.

It’s sound is legendary
This one will be about a headphone from the legendary AKG, The K450. It is the successor of the K416p which I loved quite much.
They have made.. something i cant describe.. its the best portable headset i have ever encountered in my whole life.
Just to say this, AKG.. You guys know how to make truly wonderfull headphones.
You get in the package:
1 Hardcase box with zipper for transport
Jackplug Adapter
Minijack Adapter
1.1m cable
0.8m cable
One AKG K 450 with detachable cable.
Build:
Well the build is accauly quit good. Its hard plastic surrounding the aluminum “headholder”. It has cushions on the underside so you get a nice feel on the top of your head when having it on. The Epic 3d axis folding mechanism, and my god you wont belive it!
The new cushions are awsome, I just love having the headphones on!, And better yet, they won’t come of easy, you need to get beat by mike tyson on the face to accualy get them of your head. They are way better than the K 416p.
Ahh yes, the sound. Well lets go into specs here.
Frequency range (Hz-kHz) 11-29.5
Input impedance (ohms) 32
Sensitivity (dB SPL/V) 126
Headphones weight without cable (g) 120
Im going to explain fast why these headphones are so darn good.
They go from the wooping 11hz to the nonhearable 29.5khz.
Have a nice impedance of 32 ohm, that means they dont demand mutch and can play very loud even on mp3 players and bad computer soundcards.
They got a wooping sensitivity of 126.
But how does this affect the general sound?
The sound is quite correct, the bass i jaw dropping because of the new cushions. The midrange is quite good, and the treble is just amazing, loads of details.
WrapuP-------
Positive:
Quite Insanely good sound.
Light-driven, runs even amazing on ip0d.
Detachable Cord.
Sticks solid too your head.
3d-axis, you can use them for DJ’ing..?
Refreshed design.
Quite nice accessories included.
Negative:
You will get hearing damage.
Did i say Tinitus?

I am a fan of classical music, especially interested in Concertos and Art Songs. Although the sense of hearing is subjective, I can still say that after comparing,  AKG K450 expresses the music to perfection in the price range around NT4000.
In order to test high/middle/low frequency, I brought CDs of Cecilia Bartoli (Mezzo soprano ), Krystian Zimerman (pianist ), Ann Sophie Mutter (violist) and Natalia Gutman (cellist) and tried Grado (S 60), Sennheiser (HD 555, PX 200, HD 238, HD 448), Goldring (DR 150), AKG (K411, K 420, K 450, K 240).
Only Sennheiser HD 555 and AKG K450 into 2nd round of competition. (AKG K240 is out of my budget.)
Sound field: 555 is broader than 450 for listening to concertos, just like live music in the concert hall, but the sound is not so clear. The field of 450 is smaller, as sitting in the recital hall, however, 450 is exquisite taste in tone quality and presents full, harmonious and pure.
Sound stage: 450 is the winner!! Every position of the symphony orchestra is presented in the right place.
Penetration: both of them are pretty good. 555 presents dynamic and power, 450 gives me the feeling of nature, balance and vivid.
All in all, 555 is just like the style of Berliner Philharmoniker - truthful and steady. 450 is as same as the tone color of Wiener Philharmoniker - elegant and mellow. Furthermore, the sensitivity of 450 is pretty good - without any headphone amplifier, it can run beautiful sound easily.
Enjoy it!!

High quality portable audio
I use the K 450 for over 1 year. I am satisfied with the sound, and the headphones are comfortable to wear, just a little too warm in summer. Particularly, I like the possibility of cable replacement - I already did it once. The cable wasn't weak, I just overstrained it sometimes. There are also other original accessories - cable with a microphone to use it as a headset with your mobile phone, and replacement pads. So you wouldn't need to buy a new headphones only because of small accidents.

The perfect portable headphones.
I was in the market for affordable, portable, high quality headphones that will fit firmly but comfortably. After reading what seemed to be countless reviews about different headphones, I decided to go with AKG due to their unbeatable reputation. I could have not chosen a more perfect pair of headphones. Their small but durable design makes these the perfect portable headphones. They are so light and comfy I sometimes forget I’m wearing them. Closed back design is great; I can listen to them any time anywhere, without worrying about the volume. The sound quality is rich with a filling bass that carries through the ear pads.
