My first Good Headphone
Hello, i bought my AKG K530 1 years ago 'cause i saw a very very good opportunity on one marchand website.
It was my first headphones, for me the plastics quality is good, design is so good, it was the first things 'd really like, at this time i did'n really know that akg was a good quality brand for sound.
I really really love music, like Funk, Hip Hop (like nujabes), Rap Jazz or some classic stuff and it was the best sound quality i ever heard with an headphone and i was really happy with this.
Since i had it, it's like music sounds better with him, like another world for my ears.

I've read some article speaking about strong bass on the Akg product, i really catch the sens of the Bass on this headphone, but for me they are very clean, not to noisy, and just smooth, unlike some other friends headphones (from other brand) which sound so bad and start to sizzle too early, without any powerfull signal.
Now i just want to try a new expérience with the AKG K601 or the AKG K242HD

Affordable Audiophile
DESIGN
What immediately stood out was the size of these headphones; they are really big and are clearly meant for indoor use. The design is sleek and the white/grey color theme matches perfectly with some Apple hardware. The leather finish of the headband and the metallic accent on the cans add a little flavor to the all plastic design.

BUILD
Although in the beginning i had some struggles with the headband not adjusting evenly the headphones felt pretty solid and they have some really good quality wiring. The leather ear-pads are soft and extremely comfortable. The size of the cans give your ears enough space and the semi-open design provides some airflow so your ears never get hot. The fit is really good and the headphones are pretty light which makes them perfect for longer listening sessions. Unfortunately the leather ear-pads will start to wear a little more quickly then you might expect but AKG offers a limited black edition of the K530 that offers velvet-style ear-pads which are much more durable in the long term.

What immediately impressed me was the soundstage; the headphones sounded really clear, well-balanced and open, far better then i expected them to do. The highs are crisp but never harsh and the midrange is very wide and never sounded muffled. The lows are really controlled and able to give your ears a really deep rumble occasionally. Some people may favor slightly more bass, but if you prefer a clear, uncolored sound the K530 does a great job in realistically reproducing audio.

I you are looking for some quality sub $100,- headphones the AKG K530 have an outstanding price/performance ratio. With its clear and balanced soundstage it ticks all the boxes in terms of quality audio reproduction. The build could be slightly better but the sound quality is uncompromised and the sonic performance is beyond expectation.

Good value
These headphones have a clear, well-balanced sound. They offer a good sound reproduction and covers a respectable frequency range. Very comfortable and light.

Excellent Hi-Fi Sound for a nice Price
I was looking for a new pair of Headphones, and couldn't find anything impressive...
But then I went to the BMW Welt in Munich, and they had those AKG K530 coupled to an entertainment system:
And WOW, I fell totally in love with the deepness of the sound, the comfort of the headphones, and how the high style design of AKG (a brand I did not even know before) was well suited to the performance, high tech and luxury world of BMW.
I can only recommend those headphones, they are in this price range, almost without any competition...

Fair price-performance ratio
In Winter 2008 I searched for a good but not so expensive headphone solution to listen for music and play Playstation without using my 7.1 sourround enviroment.
I found it in the AKG K530. The sound is good, sometimes a bit to heavy on the lower tones. The high tones are clear and smooth. I do listen to tock, techno, house, chillout and classic music - the K530 is capable of playing every kind fine.
In summer it is a bit warm under these headphones, so I prefer to use in-ears. But for the price the K530 ist a very good choice with no regrets.

Your best choise for 100- €
Last year i was looking for some good headphones but with limited budget (100€). After looking for reviews on web i considered to buy K530. Today im really happy that i bought them, the sound is great for a 100- €, balanced, the comfort is on the top im able to listen to music 5 hours with no pain. I recommend to buy a solid sound card/audio set for the best experience
